Abstract
It may be useful for school administrators in the United States and Canada to know about the experience of other nations in financing their educational systems. The author discusses how funds for education have been distributed in England prior to and since 1958, when the general grant for local government services was instituted. Mr. Lindman is pro fessor of education at the University of California, Los Angeles.
