Abstract
The possible relationship between religious identifications and local educational expenditures has not been systematically explored. That there is such a relationship furnishes the hypothesis for the research study reported in Professor Alkin's article. Mr. Alkin is Assistant Pro fessor of Education at The University of California, Los Angeles.
