Abstract
Professor Hendrix posits a relationship between personnel policies relat ing to college faculty rank, tenure, and evaluation and student percep tions of the college environment, and reports his study in the junior colleges of California in support of this hypothesis. He is assistant pro fessor in the Department of Education at the University of California, Los Angeles.
