Abstract
PPBS is depicted as a means for formulating more precise curricular objectives and extending the time horizon in educational planning. Program budgets focus upon programs to be accomplished rather than objects to be purchased, and thus PPBS provides for the development of performance indicators and cost-effectiveness criteria as administrative tools.
