Abstract
The performance of 22 TMR Ss given training in the identification and utilization in object sorting of dimensional properties of form, size, and color was compared with non-trained controls. The study sought to investigate whether classification skills could be induced in TMR children through individualized experiential training, whether multiple as well as single classification skills could be acquired and whether gains associated with training would be sustained following an interval of no training. Trained Ss were found to perform significantly more single and multiple classifications on both the immediate and the deferred posttest than did controls.
