Abstract
The disruptor is a problem in every school system. Classes have been created especially for disruptors in order to avoid expulsion. Subjects were junior high male students enrolled in a class for disruptors. The authors suggest that individualized instruction is necessary for these children, and demonstrate that a token economy improves performance in the classroom. Materials were inexpensive or teacher-created, and back up reinforcers were obtained from local business establishments. The introduction of an individualized approach and token economy incurred no additional expense to the school system.
