Special class teachers have deplored the lack of appropriate seatwork for use with handicapped children and youth. The development of Regional Instructional Materials Centers for Handicapped Children and Youth offers some possible solutions to the materials gap. One center developed a project, described in this article, which resulted in some guidelines for the development and evaluation of appropriate seatwork for exceptional children.
