This article looks at the problem of evaluating educational materials for educationally subnormal children. It suggests that there are three main methods through which evaluations can be made, the experimental, the psychometric, and the panel methods. Each of these three methods is briefly examined, and in a final discussion the attractions of the psychometric method for future research are stressed.
