Transfer of Jurisdiction from Juvenile to Criminal Court

Abstract

Transfer of an accused juvenile from the jurisdiction of a ju venile court to that of a criminal court removes from the accused the rights and protections available to juveniles as a class. The transfer hearing should be treated as a criminal stage in a ju venile's case.
