Abstract
A citizens' advisory committee can provide inestimable support to a hard-pressed juvenile court judge in selling the court and its program to the public. The committee interprets the functions and operations of the court to the community and the needs of the community to the court. It assists the court to maintain and retain an adequate and qualified staff and cooperates with other interested organizations and agencies in improving the general welfare, guidance, and instruction of juveniles. The activities and program of one such active and successful citizens' advisory committee, in Summit County (Akron) Ohio, are explained in detail.
