Abstract
The author challenges the moral standards of our country. Pointing to the rapid rise in the crime rate and the rapid growth in population, he shows the need for more research and more complete statistics on crime, and for a reappraisal of NCCD and the correctional field. Recruiting for correctional manpower and a widespread crime prevention program are two demanding areas. The speech concludes with a plea for public awareness, responsibility, and action.
