Abstract
This article summarizes the professional and personal themes that emerge from an examination of the 11 previous articles. Professional themes include implementing the scientist-practitioner model, identifying with counseling psychology, dealing with competency issues, seeking employment satisfaction, maintaining vitality, and the increasing professionalization of the field. Personal themes include addressing racism and sexism and seeking a balanced life-style. Suggestions for dialogue, research, and professional reform are offered.
