Abstract
Some 50 years after it was first introduced, the concept of “adventure learning” is now a training technique used by a growing number of companies. Through a series of moderate personal and team challenges, adventure learning develops personal confidence and builds team relationships. The New Age Spa in Neversink, New York, is one operator with an adventure-learning course. That operation also includes a full spa that includes nutrition programs, wellness counseling, and the more traditional massages and workout equipment.
