Abstract
Computer-system development has shifted so that new system design incorporates advanced user interfaces that take advantage of natural and intuitive operating commands, thereby allowing inexperienced operators access to the power of computing. Products that rely on an individual's touch, speech, and handwriting are available and are influencing the marketplace. These revolutionary operating-command systems are rendering computers more user-friendly than ever before, so that people need not be computer-literate to operate them.
