Abstract
A professor in a huge lecture hall at Penn State recently noticed one of his students cribbing on a final exam. He publicly accused the student of cheating and called for his test booklet. In response, the student stepped forward and asked, "Do you know my name?" When the professor answered no, the student shoved his test deep into a stack of completed exams, pulled down his cap, and sauntered confidently out of the hall.
Are hospitality students becoming ruder, less intellectually curious, more interested in being entertained than in learning? The authors say yes, and comment on ways in which educators can meet the challenge
