Abstract
Most research on socialization has focused on socialization in existing political systems. This article explores the socialization of children into the supportive values and attitudes of a state which does not yet exist. It investigates the acquisition of supportive attitudes toward the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) among Palestinian children in Kuwait. While other studies have focused on the children of the refugee camps, long considered breeding grounds for guerrillas, this article considers the socialization process among noncamp dwellers.
