Adults of different racial or ethnic groups vary in size and proportional measures, and one may assume that these differences become apparent early in the human growth cycle. Hence it is important to ascertain when during the growth period such differences become readily recognizable, and how they are related to rates of growth, growth gradients and biologic maturation.
