This article studies Christological titles as used among the Christian youth in Enugu state, Nigeria. The article adopts both oral interview and participant observation as its methodologies. It aims at discussing these modern-day Christologies among the Christian youth in Enugu state in the context of the reason for such a shift in the categorization of Jesus. Its findings show that, partly, this development among the youth can be located within their desire to key Jesus into modern-day youth language. More broadly, however, the article locates this Christological development among the youth of the state within folk religion, typified by the ever-evolving and contested nature of African Christology determined by changing contexts in which African Christians find themselves.
