Mc 4, 10-12 comporte une allusion évidente à Is 6, 9-10. Ayant déjà publié une étude sur le texte d'Isaïe, l'auteur met en parallèle le caractère ironique de la mission prophétique que reçoit Isaïe et les remarques « taquines » que Jésus adresse au lecteur ou à la lectrice, pour ainsi dire « dans le dos » des disciples. S'il est vrai que d'autres ont déjà décrit l'ironie des paroles de Jésus dans ce passage, cet article est le premier à suggérer que le ton du texte marcien s'inspire de l'ironie isaïenne.
