Following metacarpophalangeal (M.C.P. implant) arthroplasty, post-operative regime dictates the use of a splint for control of joint movement during capsular healing. At the Arthritis Society — British Columbia Division, a splint has been developed which allows for movement in the flexion and extension plane, adaptability to individual post-operative progress, and accurate positioning. This article provides a step-by-step outline for construction of this splint.
