This paper reviews the literature on intervention considerations with post-menopausal osteoporotic women, with the aim of proposing a potential role for occupational therapists with this population. Postural retraining, exercise, dietary counselling, energy conservation, safety, and psychological counselling are identified as important aspects of treatment relevant to occupational therapy practice.
