Abstract
The need had arisen for the fabrication of a splint to help achieve passive flexion to the distal phalanx of the digits of the hand. The splint was developed by staff at Oakviile-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Ontario, and was designed to be adjustable as tolerated. It can be used in a variety of disorders which result in limited passive flexion of the distal phalanx. The design is illustrated by the use of a dorsal and anterior pattern as well as photographs as to proper application. Modifications to the splint have also been suggested to be used by the therapist as he need arises.
