A toilet seat has been designed to meet the special balance needs of a hemi-pelvectomy patient. The design is easy to follow, inexpensive to build and may be further adapted to a variety of home and hospital environments. It meets the physical needs following this amputation. Also, it aids the emotional adjustment by allowing the person the dignity of independence in his toilet needs.
