Abstract
ABSTRACT:
Lifetime data with multiple causes of failure is a common phe-nomenon in survival studies. The present paper focuses on the parametric regression analysis of lifetime data with multiple causes of failure. We define the cause specific reversed hazards model in the presence of covariates with inverse Weibull as baseline distribution. This parametric regression approach facilitates analysis of lifetime data with multiple causes of failure under left-censoring. We discuss the estimation of the parameters of the model. Simulation studies are carried out to examine the finite sample behaviour of the estimators. We illustrate the applicability of the proposed model using a real-life data set.
