Abstract
The article considers the problem of R = P(X < Y ), when X and Y belong to independently distributed extended family of distributions proposed by Marshall and Olkin (1997). Maximum likelihood estimate of R have been found out and the estimates assuming different baseline distributions have been compared for complete samples. Lower confidence limits of R have been found out by Delta method and bootstrap method. The Bayes estimate of R have also been calculated using MCMC approach and one data analysis has been performed for illustrative purposes.
