Abstract
The problem considered is that of finding optimum designs for the estimation of covariate parameters and the treatment and blockcontrasts in a blocktreatment design setup in the presence qf nonstochastic covariates. The key reference to the present work is Das et.al.(2003) and we propose some extensions of their work. Here we deal with the situation wherein the block design setup admits existence of a balanced incomplete block design (BIBD) with parameters b, v, r, k, λ and it is further assumed that the BIBDs can be constructed by Bose's method of differences. Also we give some results for arbitrary BIBDs.
