Limit Laws for Power Normalized Partial Maxima of Independent Random Variables Having one of m Specified Distributions

Abstract

Suppose $X_1,...,X_n$ are independent observations from $m(\ge \hspace{0.17em}\hspace{0.17em}2,\hspace{0.17em}\text{fixed})$ distribution functions. In this paper we discuss the asymptotic behaviour of power normalized partial maxima under some assumptions on the distribution functions.
