Abstract
Binary nested row-column designs have been provided by several authors. Recently Bagchi, Mukhopadhyay and Sinha (1990) have shown that non-binaey designs are really the appropriate candidates for being optimal. This paper provides some methods of constructing optimal nested row-column designs. As expected, the methods provide non-binary designs. Further, it is shown that in a class of binary designs, balanced iocomple block designs with nested rows and columns are optimal.
