Abstract
Once again I am indebted to all those people who, during the past 12 months, reviewed articles for The Australian Journal of Education. Of the 124 manuscripts that were received, approximately 15 per cent were eventually accepted for publication. In an attempt to keep the delay in publication of papers to a reasonable period it is unfortunate that many articles with much merit cannot be accepted. Such decisions regarding eventual rejection are extremely difficult to make and authors should be assured that much editorial discussion occurs before reaching final recommendations. I would also like to take this opportunity of expressing my gratitude to Mrs Bronwyn Hay of the ACER. It is her splendid editorial and organizational assistance that is, in good part, responsible for the efficient production of the Journal.
