An investigation of the high school version of Biggs's Study Process Questionnaire (SPQHS) with 275 Filipino secondary school children found satisfactory scale internal consistency reliability coefficients and significant correlations with school grades (but not IQ) for two of the three SPQHS scales. However, factor analysis failed to support Biggs's proposed structure of the SPQHS, perhaps because of the existence of an acquiescence response set.
