Hyalinizing trabecular adenoma is a follicular-derived tumor of the thyroid gland with a strong predilection for women. In the reported cases, the biologic course has been benign and without recurrences. The most important histologic differential diagnosis is medullary carcinoma, particularly the encapsulated form of that neoplasm.
