Abstract
Knowledge of the arterial supply and the venous drainage of a glomus jugulare tumor is of most importance for surgery, and close cooperation between the neuroradiologist and the otolaryngologist is necessary. The possibility of a variation of the vascular anatomy should be kept in mind. We report a patient with a reddish mass behind the eardrum which was found to be her transverse sinus running in a vertical direction, ending in a sigmoid sinus which was passing close to the foramen magnum.
