Abstract
Like many of his students, my introduction to Mark was through his Mystical Theology: The Integrity of Spirituality and Theology. While it has been many years since I have revisited that work, the impression it left on me is still as fresh as the day I first finished it; however, it wasn’t until I met Mark that I truly learned what it meant for theology to be an encounter with the divine lived out through love and contemplation.
