Abstract
In January 1998, Ann Wood decided, at age sixty-five, she finally had the time to pursue her interest in music. Wood feared everyone in the music community would view her as unteachable, but she researched possible violin teachers in the Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, area anyway, and contacted a woman named Cynthia Heidel.
