Abstract
Violinist Sharp has been performing in California since 1955, including 20 years as a member of the San Francisco Symphony, a year as principal second violinist in the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra and four years as a member of the UC Davis resident Bloch String Quartet. Following six years of free-lance studio work in Los Angeles, she has been teaching and performing in the San Diego area.
She currently conducts the Civic Youth Orchestra #2 and coaches the strings of both the Civic Youth Orchestra #1 and the La Jolla Civic Orchestra.
Her lecture, “How to Get an Orchestra Job and Keep It,” will be published in guidebook form in the spring.
