Ahruham Prescott lived and worked in Deer-field and Concord, New Hampshire from about 1808 to 1845, and is Credited with some of the best basses made in this country. He made a number of smaller basses, as well as the very large ones. The smaller ones are known as “church basses”, one of which is now in the Yale University Collection of Musical instruments.
