Abstract
This article is a summary of a conference organized by the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia on the topic of genetic research. The conference considered ramifications of applications of the research, including health-related decision making, discrimination against people with particular genetic makeups, and patents. Religious, ethical, and business viewpoints were discussed.
