Abstract
On 7 March 2000, the National Center for State Courts, in cooperation with the Center for the Study of Youth Policy of the University of Pennsylvania, sponsored a one-day symposium titled Violence in the Judicial Workplace. Held at the Federal Judicial Center in Washington, D.C., the symposium was attended by local and federal court security professionals, judicial administrators, and researchers. The following are the transcribed introductory comments made by Roger Warren, president of the National Center for State Courts.
