Structural Determinants of Publicly Subsidized Adult Education

Abstract

The article reports a study of structural determinants of the volume of publicly subsidized adult education activity in Norwegian municipalities. The structural determinants comprise material structures, population structures, and collective economic resources. Hypotheses for the relationship between indicators of these structures and the local amount of adult education activity are elaborated and a multivariate empirical analysis is presented.
