Abstract
Shortly following mastectomy and radiotherapy 17 years ago for cancer of the breast, post-radiation brachial plexus neuralgia had developed, together with a weeping radiation ulcer along the scar. The lady also suffered from multiple sclerosis with peripheral sensation loss, such that she was unable to walk properly, often burnt her hands and arms, and could not manage fine movements of the fingers. Simple manual acupuncture treatment gave rapid pain relief, induced healing of the ulcer, and restored peripheral sensation.
