Abstract
This is a practice audit reviewing the outcome of acupuncture treatment over a two month period. A questionnaire was used to determine the benefit obtained by patients following acupuncture and also to investigate any change in attitude towards the treatment brought about by “sharp end” experience.
Improvement was claimed by 85% of responders to the questionnaire, with 57% finding that benefit lasted more than 5 days. Initially 50% of patients were sceptical about acupuncture, but after treatment 91% had become enthusiasts.
