Transcript profiling using a zebrafish heart cDNA library previously revealed abundant expressed sequence tags (ESTs) upregulated in zebrafish embryos treated with the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) agonist 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD).
