Abstract
Dr. Michael Carvan is an Assistant Scientist in the Great Lakes WATER Institute at the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee, with appointments in the Department of Biological Sciences and the College of Health Sciences. He received his Bachelor 's degree in Marine Biology from the University of North Carolina—Wilmington, and a Master's degree in Biological Oceanography from the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. Dr. Carvan received his Ph.D. in Anatomy and Public Health from the Texas A & M University College of Veterinary Medicine with a focus on toxicology. He pursued postdoctoral training in molecular toxicology and environmental genetics at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
