Abstract
Transgender and nonbinary (TNB) adolescents benefit from receiving both medical and nonmedical gender-affirming care (GAC). To better understand the nonmedical GAC needs of TNB youth, a survey was sent to young adults ages 18–20 who desired but were unable to receive medical GAC as adolescents. TNB young adults reported they were most interested in affirming products, legal name change, and therapists with experience caring for TNB youth. Important differences arose when exploring desired nonmedical GAC needs across demographic groups. These data help identify the most impactful nonmedical interventions for TNB youth who do not have access to medical GAC.
