Abstract
Blunt trauma resulting in intrathoracic esophageal injury is rare. Here we present a case of delayed diagnosis of blunt esophageal injury managed by thorascopic drainage. Diligent observation to clinical signs and symptoms of patients with blunt thoraco-abdominal trauma is most important in diagnosing and treating esophageal trauma, and would lead to a decrease in morbidity and mortality.
