ABSTRACT
The authors report an exceptional cause of an acute condition of the abdomen in children: appendicular volvulus. The differential diagnosis and pathologic findings are discussed. The laparoscopic approach seems ideal because it permits precise diagnosis and specific treatment at the same time.
