ABSTRACT
Laparoscopic fundoplication is a safe and effective alternative to open fundoplication. As standardized techniques and improved training become available, operating times and cost become less significant differences between the procedures. The rationale for the laparoscopic approach and current status of the technique in pediatric surgery are reviewed.
