ABSTRACT
Getting started in laparoscopic surgery is perhaps the biggest hurdle to overcome in becoming an endoscopic surgeon. Often, it is more difficult to begin one's laparoscopic or thoracoscopic program than to become facile with technically complex operations. This article is designed for surgeons who would like to get started with endoscopic surgery but do not feel comfortable in taking the First step.
