Abstract
ABSTRACT
Gastroesophogeal reflux (GER) is known to trigger acute respiratory symptoms in some patients with asthma. Recurrent aspiration pneumonia is also a well-documented complication of GER. Fundoplication has been shown to reduce the respiratory symptoms in selected patients with GER. We report our results in 33 infants and children treated for reflux associated pulmonary disease by laparoscopic fundoplication.
