ABSTRACT
In children with an acute abdomen the preoperative studies can often confirm the diagnosis or select one or two possible causes for the acute problem. Nevertheless, on many occasions the reason for the child's distress remains uncertain. We performed 98 laparoscopies in children with an acute abdomen. The laparoscopic findings are presented here and our therapeutic management is discussed.
